## How it works

1. **Make a board.** Name it and start from a template, or import a Trello board. No account, no email.
2. **Share the link.** Everyone with the link can add, edit and move cards. Changes show up for everyone right away.
3. **Move work along.** Drag cards from To do to Done. Add checklists, due dates and people, and see what is due on the calendar.

Whoever makes a board also gets a private admin link to rename, archive or delete it and to remove people's devices.

## What a card holds

A title, a description in Markdown, a checklist, a due date and time (marked done when it is), labels, the people assigned, comments and a cover color. Cards and lists can be archived and restored.

## Views, search and filters

- **Board:** lists side by side.
- **List:** every card as a row, sortable by list, title, due date or checklist progress.
- **Calendar:** cards on their due dates, a month at a time (a list of days on a phone).
- **Search** finds text in titles, descriptions, checklists and label names. **Filters** show one or more labels, people, or overdue, due today, due this week, no due date or done.

## Import and export

- **From Trello:** in Trello, open the board menu, choose Print, export and share, then Export as JSON. In Tasks, choose Import from Trello and pick the file. Lists, cards, descriptions, labels, checklists, due dates, members and comments come across; attachments, Power-Ups and automations do not.
- **Export:** any board downloads as JSON (which Tasks can import again) or as CSV for a spreadsheet.

## For AI assistants

Tasks has a public HTTP API with no account. Reading a board needs only its id; changing it needs the board key (`x-board-key` header) that comes back when the board is made.
